Eyegasm
This one is a little late to the table but undoubtedly deserves a mention. Eyegasm is a stunning little iPad app which produces realtime generative animation. Accompanying music (on Vimeo) is from none other than Brian Eno.
Johanthan Harris’s project, The Whale Hunt takes an experimental approach to the narrative. Mapping a nine day trip from New York to Alaska and back, the 3,000+ images are presented sequentially but the user can choose to view them in a number of different ways under a variety of categories.
